Are these actually handblock printed?
Yes, every piece. Our kurtis are printed using traditional wooden blocks by artisans who've practiced this craft for generations. You'll notice slight variations in the print - that's not a flaw, it's the signature of something made by human hands. We use Warli art, Ajrakh printing, and Jaipuri block printing across our collections.
Why does delivery take 10-15 days?
Because your kurti is made after you order. Your piece is printed, stitched, quality-checked, and packed fresh. It takes 3–4 working days to craft, and another 5–10 days for delivery. We think something made just for you is worth a few extra days.
Is the fabric comfortable?
All our kurtis are 100% pure cotton - soft, breathable, and made for Indian weather. We use organic, non-irritating colours. Most women who've worn Janana tell us the fabric gets softer with every wash.
What if the size doesn't fit?
Free size exchange within 7 days of delivery.
No extra charges. Just message us on WhatsApp (+91 87802 52573) or email shop@janana.in and we'll sort it out.
We also have a detailed size chart on every product page - check it before ordering for the best fit.
Is it safe to pay online here?
Completely.
We use Shopify's secure checkout with 256-bit SSL encryption - the same security used by major banks.
You can pay via UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, or wallets. Your payment details are never stored on our servers.
Will the colours bleed?
A very slight colour release in the first wash is normal and actually a sign of authentic hand block printing with natural dyes.
Soak your kurti in cold salt water for 10 minutes before the first wash, this sets the colours beautifully. After that, your prints will stay vibrant for years.
Do you offer COD?
We currently offer prepaid payment only - UPI, cards, wallets, and net banking. This helps us keep our prices honest and our shipping free on every order.

Who is behind Janana?
Janana was started by a 22-year-old and her mother - a team that understands both design and fabric.
Every kurti is designed in-house and handcrafted by artisans across India. We're a small, intentional brand, and we take every order personally.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet - but we're working on it.
Right now, we ship across India only, with free shipping on every order.
